The very first Jar Jar Binks action figure was released in 1999 during the Episode I toy line. Since 1999 Hasbro has been reluctant to release Jar Jar Binks figures because of the lukewarm reception the character received from fans.
In 2012, 13 years after the first Jar Jar Binks figure had come out, Hasbro finally gave the character a modern update in the Movie Heroes toy line.
