• This Han Solo (Hoth Gear) figure was released individually carded as part of The Power of the Force 2 toy line in 1996 and is based on Han Solo’s appearance on the ice planet Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back
• The figure features six points of articulation typical of POTF2, with swivel joints at the neck, shoulders, waist, and both legs
• It stands somewhat unsteadily on its own, but includes peg holes in both feet for use with a display stand
• The figure comes with an oversized blaster pistol and assault rifle that fit reasonably well in its hands, while the headgear and goggles are not removable
• The paint applications are simple but clean, although the sculpt feels dated with a Schwarzenegger-like physique, limited articulation, bulky accessories, and a face sculpt that does not closely resemble Harrison Ford
• While this Han Solo figure was impressive during the early days of Kenner’s revived line, far superior Hoth Gear Han Solo figures are available today

The newly commissioned "Captain" Solo worked with his friend, Luke Skywalker, and others to scout the barren planet for life-forms. Riding the smelly, two-legged TaunTauns, Han wore bundled, thermal clothing and protective gear to brave the harsh, icy winds. When Luke failed to return from a scouting mission, Han braved the elements at dusk, facing a high possibility of death. Although he lost his own TaunTaun, Han did find Luke. Erecting an emergency shelter, Han managed to save both of their lives until Rebel search teams could find them the next morning.
