• This C-3PO action figure was released in May of 1997 in a limited Hong Kong Edition 3-pack
• Hasbro released two different 3-packs - one set featured three heroes - one set featured three villains
• This Hong Kong edition is truly unique because Star Wars action figures were used to commemorate a political event
• The set was released to commemorate the handover of Hong Kong from British control back to China on July 1 - 1997
• Originally the set was limited to 5 - 000 pieces - but production was increased due to demand
• In the United States both sets could be obtained through comic book stores - which imported the sets
• The base for the figures is one long piece - it cannot be taken apart for each figure individually
• Every figure is screwed into the base (easily removable with a screwdriver)
• This C-3PO action figure is a re-release of the regular C-3PO action figure from 1995
• The other two figures in this set were Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia
• The figure is VERY shiny - which looks fantastic
• Unfortunately the figure has a bulkier appearance than what it should have
