TVC Anakin Skywalker And Clone Commander Cody Revealed

Hasbro today revealed a new Star Wars: The Vintage Collection two-pack featuring Anakin Skywalker and Clone Commander Cody from Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith on the SWTVC Instagram account and on the SWTVC YouTube channel.

The set is based on Revenge Of The Sith and will be released as a Walmart exclusive. Pre-orders are scheduled to go live on June 11th at 1pm ET and it'll cost $49.99 + tax/shipping.

TVC ANAKIN SKYWALKER AND CLONE COMMANDER CODY

The two-pack includes Anakin Skywalker and Clone Commander Cody, both based on their appearances in Revenge Of The Sith. While the packaging identifies Anakin as Anakin Skywalker, but going after the pictured used on the packaging, this version of the character is technically Darth Vader in the movie timeline. In other words, this is Darth Vader before the armor, and should have been called Darth Vader on the packaging. Not a deal breaker by any means, but it is a technicality worth pointing out.

One interesting detail we noticed with Clone Commander Cody is that he does not include a Darth Sidious hologram and does not include Obi-Wan Kenobi’s lightsaber hilt. The packaging image shows Commander Cody when he just arrived on Utapau, which would explain the lack of those accessories (still would have been nice for Hasbro to include those here).
