Blokees is quickly making its presence felt in the toy aisle with its Star Wars Champion Class model kits, and after assembling our favorite characters of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo in Stormtrooper disguise, we can see what the buzz is about!
Blokees believes that the power of assembling can inspire endless creativity. The company focuses on creating detailed assembly character toys and collectible items in different sizes for a wide range of age groups.
In addition to Star Wars, Blokees has worked with well-known entertainment brands such as Transformers, Jurassic World, Naruto, and Evangelion. Their goal is to help fans craft their favorite characters in an authentic, hands-on way while bringing imaginative collectibles to consumers around the world.

So far, Blokees has released four Star Wars Champion Class model kits in the United States: Blokees Star Wars CC01:Darth Vader, Blokees Star Wars CC02:Stormtrooper, Blokees Star Wars CC03:Han Solo - Stormtrooper Disguise and Blokees Star Wars CC04:Luke Skywalker - Stormtrooper disguise. Luke and Han are based on their appearance aboard the first Death Star in Star Wars: A New Hope, while Darth Vader and the Stormtrooper are based on Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

At only $14.99 each, these model kits are priced very competitively, especially considering how much is included in the box. Each kit comes with multiple accessories, interchangeable hands, weapons, and a display stand, giving collectors plenty of posing options once the kit is assembled.
It is important to point out that these are model kits, not traditional ready-to-play characters. They are intended for older kids, teenagers, young adults, and collectors, with the packaging recommending them for ages 14 and up.

The characters vary slightly in height depending on the character, but they land roughly in the six-inch scale range, with Darth Vader standing a little taller than the others. Because these are stylized versions of the characters, they are not meant to be 100% realistic interpretations. Instead, Blokees gives them a slightly exaggerated, stylized-look while still keeping the characters instantly recognizable.
We assembled both Luke Skywalker and Han Solo in Stormtrooper disguise, and each character took roughly an hour to an hour and a half to complete. More experienced model kit builders will likely move faster, but for beginners like us, the process was very manageable and surprisingly fun.

One of the best things about these kits is that they are very beginner-friendly. No paint is required, no glue is needed, and you do not need cutters to remove the parts from the plastic runners. The parts can be removed by applying light pressure, and the included instruction sheet walks you through the assembly step by step.
Most of the important details are already painted or molded in the correct colors. The blue stripes on the Stormtrooper helmets, the black brow details, and the abdominal buttons are already finished, which gives the completed character a clean look right out of the box.
There are a few unpainted details, however. For example, the thermal detonator on Han Solo’s belt was left unpainted, and Luke Skywalker’s grappling hook and comlink on the Stormtrooper belt were also unpainted. Collectors who enjoy customizing can always add paint to those areas, but the characters still display nicely without any extra work.

Blokees included a surprisingly strong amount of display flexibility with these kits. Luke Skywalker can be displayed holding the Stormtrooper helmet, or he can be displayed fully helmeted. The included MSE droid is a great bonus and adds more personality to the display.
Luke also includes an alternate belt, which means you can display him with the TK-421-style belt and grappling hook, or swap to a more standard Stormtrooper look. That kind of flexibility is a surprise and a very welcome touch, especially at this price point.
The weapons are also handled nicely. Some are designed for the characters to hold, while others can be placed into the holster. The included interchangeable hands make a big difference, because they allow the characters to hold accessories more naturally instead of being stuck with one generic grip.

All things considered, these Star Wars Champion Class model kits are an extremely good value. For $14.99, you get the character, accessories, alternate hands, and the added experience of assembling the model kit yourself.
That assembling experience is part of what makes these so enjoyable. Since you assemble it from the inside out, you get a closer look at how the articulation works underneath the armor. It adds a layer of appreciation that you do not usually get from a regular character straight out of the package.
Compared to many other items on the shelf, the value here is tremendous. The multiple hand options are especially appreciated, because they allow the character to look more natural depending on the pose or accessory being used. That is something even more expensive collector lines do not always get right.
Out of the gate, Blokees is making a very strong impression with its Star Wars Champion Class line. These kits are affordable, fun to assemble, packed with display options, and easy enough for beginners to enjoy. The next time you are at Walmart and browsing the Star Wars section, these are absolutely worth a closer look.
We are excited to see where Blokees takes the Star Wars Champion Class line next.
