There is a rumor floating around in the collecting community which indicates that Hasbro might bring back an updated version of the Episode I CommTech chip for The Last Jedi toy line. The rumor, which appeared to have originated on Rebelscum.com, indicates that each Star Wars figure in The Last Jedi basic assortment will include a Force Link Bracelet which enables the figures to talk to each other.
If this rumor turns out to be true, it'll be interesting to see how much the technology has improved since 1999. We expect more information about this to come out during San Diego Comic Con 2017, which is held in July. The Last Jedi action figures go officially on sale on September 1, 2017.
