The very first Darth Vader action figure was released in 1978 by Kenner during the original vintage Star Wars series. Since then, Kenner/Hasbro has released every version possible of the Sith Lord, including a red metallic Holiday Darth Vader and a snow white comic book version. Darth Vader remains popular and there is not one year where Hasbro doesn't offer at least one version of the iconic Sith Lord in action figure form.
